A couple more Holga lens images

We had a turn in the weather here in southern New Hampshire so I hopped outside on my lunch break and grabbed a few shots. Thought I'd break all the rules and shoot into the sun (well, from behind a tree) to see how the lens did with flaring.

These were both shot in RAW and then helped along in photoshop. Just with some contrast adjustment mostly. As you can see, the Holga lens isn't the sharpest thing in my bag, but it still has a quality that is all it's own. (I'm seeing some film grain.. are you? Even at ISO 250?)

Holga for DSLR

I ordered a Holga lens for my new camera and I have to say... Although a lot of the Holga mojo is there, I never realized just HOW much the original Holga would leak light. The DSLR lens definitely brings me right back to the organic-ness that is shooting with an unreliable camera, but it's not *quite* there. That's okay though... It's still fun to just forget about apertures and focal lengths for a while and just shoot from the hip (literally).
